About this game

Brick Blitz

Brick Blitz is a paddle and ball brick breaker built in the spirit of the classic arcade brick breakers from the 90s. Move the paddle, keep the ball alive, and clear every brick on the board across 100 patterned levels that get tighter and trickier the further you go.

Most brick breaker games either stop after one board or slow the whole run down with ad-gated lives and gem shops. Brick Blitz keeps the focus on the paddle and the ball. You unlock the next board by clearing the one in front of you, there is no currency to farm and no video ad between levels.

Break bricks marked with a glowing dot and a power-up drops down for the paddle to catch. Grab a wider paddle, a multiball split, a slower ball, a laser paddle that fires on its own, or a sticky catch that lets you re-aim your next shot. A couple of the drops work against you too, so catching everything on sight is not always the right call.

Brick Blitz works well when you want a short, focused arcade run instead of a puzzle or a story. Clear a few boards, chase a higher score against your own best, then switch over to Snake, Flappy Bird, or Quick Math if you want a different kind of challenge. Everything runs free in the browser, on phone or desktop, with no account and no install.

How to play

  1. Move the paddle with your mouse, a finger drag, or the arrow keys and A and D.
  2. Tap, click, or press Space to launch the ball off the paddle.
  3. Bounce the ball into bricks to break them and clear the board.
  4. Catch falling power-ups with the paddle for an edge, some help, a couple hurt.
  5. Clear every breakable brick to move on to the next of the 100 levels.

Tips and strategy

  • Hot glowing bricks are bombs: hit one and it clears itself plus every neighboring tile (rocks stay). Use them to wipe tight clusters fast.
  • Aim with the edges of the paddle, not just the center, the angle the ball leaves at depends on where it lands on the paddle, so you can steer shots into tight corners.
  • Save a multiball for rows that still have several bricks left, it clears far more of the board per launch than using it early on a nearly empty row.
  • Indestructible rock bricks share the same shape as regular bricks and never break, plan your angles around them instead of wasting bounces trying to clear them.
  • A laser or sticky paddle power-up is worth prioritizing over a plain speed boost when you are down to your last life, the control matters more than the pace.
